Richard Eugene Detrick,

61, of Bruceton Mills (Salem Community), WV, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at his home.
The son of the late Demetrious M. and Sadie C. Sines Detrick, he was born September 22, 1955, in Confluence, PA.
Richard was a licensed minister, worked at Bausch and Lomb Inc., and was a CNA at Henry Clay Villa Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife, Susie J. Dennis Detrick; four sisters: Betty Galloway of Bruceton Mills, WV, Hazel M. Sumption of Friendsville, MD, Sherry Ross of Friendsville, and Maude A. Rounds of Grantsville, MD; a brother, Junior M. Detrick, of Friendsville; close friends, Nancy and Renee; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet dogs, Spanky Jo and Daisy Mae.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Grace Taylor, Evelyn Griffith, Mary Hurst and Eleanor Glisan; two brothers, Robert and Roger Detrick; and an infant brother and sister.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m., and Wednesday, from 2-9 p.m., and Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 12 noon until the 2:00 p.m. service in the funeral home, with Rev. Dale Rexroad and Jimmy Teets officiating.   Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Susie Detrick.
