Merrill J. Bigelow,

88, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late Merrill W. and Grace Stone Bigelow, he was born September 29, 1928, in Bouquet, NY.
Merrill graduated from Keene Valley High School in New York in 1947 and Delhi Tech of the New York University System, Delhi, NY, in 1950.  From 1950-1953, he served in the U.S. Air Force at Elgin Air Force Base in Pensacola, FL, and in Korea.
He is survived by two daughters: Pamela Gluvna and her husband, Ed, of Greensboro, PA, and Tracey Leef of Frederick, MD; two grandchildren, Nicholas Gluvna and his wife, Donne, of Longmont, CO, and Megan Leef of Frederick, MD; four great-grandchildren: Moira, David, Tasha and Timothy Gluvna; a sister-in-law, Pat Bigelow, of Keene Valley, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Merrill was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Marquis Bigelow, and a brother, Carl Bigelow.
Following cremation, a private service and burial will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown, WV.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home of Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, will be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
