Melvin G. Sypolt, 81, of Bruceton Mills (Centenary community), WV, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Preston Memorial Hospital, Kingwood, WV. The son of the late Gratto and Ida Reckart Sypolt, he was born December 5, 1938, in Albright, WV. Melvin is survived by his wife, Peggy Reckart Sypolt; two sons, Melvin (Buss) Sypolt of Bruceton Mills, and Myron D. Sypolt and his wife, Crystal of Bruceton Mills; two daughters, Mary E. Sypolt and Kim Dixon and her husband, Ike of Kingwood; five grandsons, and seven great-grandchildren; four sisters: Sharon Stiles and her husband, Dewey, Anna Belle Lawson and her husband, Tommy, Mary Alice Benson and Maxine Livengood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Friday from 3-8 p.m., and Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating.
