Macie Mae Lawless, 76, of Bruceton Mills (Hazelton community), WV, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in her home. The daughter of the late George and Faye Purtee Guthrie, she was born, August 28, 1944, in Hazelton, WV. Macie is survived by two sons: Fred Lawless and his companion, Ada and Vincent Lawless; two grandchildren, Sara Lawless and Nicole Lawless; three great grandchildren: Elijah, Watson and Gabriel; six sisters: Helen Spartenberg and her husband, Robert, Catherine Taylor and her husband, Robert, Dorothy Vigill and her husband, Tony, Cora Henning, Mary Moats and Freda Poling and her husband, Gary; and two brothers, Ezra and Danny Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her companion of 40 years, Charles Tubman; a daughter, Katherine Lawless; and three brothers: Samuel, Walter and Glenn Guthrie. Carl R.
