Kenseth Matthew Maust June 16, 2008 – May 16, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Kenseth Maust, on May 16, 2026, just one month before his 18th birthday. The cherished son of Eddie and Lori Maust, he was born on June 16, 2008, in Morgantown, WV.
Kenseth touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness, laughter, and bright spirit. He was eagerly looking forward to graduating from Preston High School on May 28, 2026, and dreamed of one day pursuing a career with the FBI and planned to obtain a degree in computer science. His determination, compassion, and ambition inspired all who knew him. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially riding e-bikes and dirt bikes with his cousin and uncle, and collecting Pokémon cards with his close friend, Kolton. Kenseth had a generous heart, a contagious smile, and a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Kenseth is survived by his loving parents, Eddie and Lori Maust; his sister and brother-in-law, McKenna and Hunter Chipps; his grandparents, Ed and Doris Maust and Lavon Ringer; and his aunts and uncle: Susan Ringer, Judy Maust, and Lisa and Shannon McNear, with whom he spent a great deal of time. Also surviving are five cousins who were all very special to him: Dakota Adams, Colton Adams, Taylor Mayle, Cordell McNear, and Morgan McNear; two second cousins whom he adored, Makayla Adams and Ember Mayle. Kenseth is also survived by two incredibly special friends who meant so much to him and with whom he spent a great deal of time, Kolton Wotring and Rachel Crull. He also had a niece on the way, with whom he was so excited to meet and to be an amazing uncle. Preceding him in death were his grandfather, Gerald Ringer, and his uncle, Doug Ringer. Their memories will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved them. Though his life was far too short, the love, joy, and memories Kenseth gave to others will live on forever. He will be deeply missed by his parents, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Kenseth. Your journey may have been cut short, but your spirit will shine brightly in our hearts forever. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
