Isa Mae Metheny,

90, of Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Pine Ridge, Heartland of Preston Co., in Kingwood, WV.
The daughter of the late George D. and Iva Mae Early Shaffer, she was born September 21, 1927, in Locust Grove, WV.
A 1944 graduate of Bruceton High School, Isa was a member of the Glade Farms Community Church and a retiree of Sterling Faucet Company.  Throughout her adult life, she gave piano and guitar lessons to many people and played piano for many church functions.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses: Larry and Sue Metheny, Robert and Judy Metheny and Danny and Tammy Metheny, of Bruceton Mills, WV; seven grandchildren: Eric and wife, Rachel, Brian, Kevin and wife, Tracy, Jason and wife, Michelle, Danny, Jr. and companion, Brittney Rosenberger, David, and Danielle Korzum and husband, Corey; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Grace Staub; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warden Ryan Metheny; two brothers, Marshall Shaffer and Stanley Shaffer; and a granddaughter, Rachel R. Metheny.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Sunday, November 12, 2017, from 12 noon until the 1:00 p.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Charles Teets officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
