Ian Carroll McDougal,

50, of Elkins, WV, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, WV.

The son of David H. McDougal of Martinsville, IN, and the late Joan Cale McDougal, he was born December 10, 1966, in Williamsburg, VA.

Ian was retired U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters: Jessica McDougal and Emma McDougal of Elkins; two sisters, Katherine E. Perkins and Stephanie J. Ingle; two brothers, Stephen J. McDougal and Stuart A. McDougal; and two grandchildren, Gavin and Audrey Workman.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his grand-parents: Harland and Dorothy Cale of Bruceton Mills, WV and Eugene C. and Mary McDougal of Fairmont, WV.

Family and friends will be received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Friday, June 23, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. time of service in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Valley Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, WV.
