Harvey Edward Conner, 79, passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, March 3, 2025, at his home in Vally Point, WV, with his family by his side. The son of the late Charles and Betty Shears Conner, he was born March 16, 1945, in Valley Point. Ed was an avid hunter who loved traveling with his wife and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters. During his younger years, he loved playing softball, mowing his yard, and gardening. And, he loved telling us what to do and how to do it. Ed is survived by his wife, Sonja North Conner; daughters: Belinda (William) Sharp, Mandy Conner, Celestina Combs, and Elizabeth (Julian) Thomas; sisters: Wilma (Bob) DeBerry, Shirley "Susie" Eye, and Donna (Mike) Keenan; and brothers: Buddy (Joanne) Conner, Larry (Lucy) Conner, Rick (Cheryl) Conner, and Mark (Debbie) Conner. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Elkins; brother, Gary Conner; mother- and father-in-law, Woodrow and Celestine North; sister-in-law, Carol Sue Stahl; brothers-in-law: David North, Bill Eye, and Hubert Elkins; nephew, Brian Elkins; and great grandson, Gunner Creamer. Family and friends may call at the Valley Point Apostolic Church in Valley Point (Albright) Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 12:00 until the 1:00 p.m. service with Pastor Greg Cummings officiating.
