Evelyn Fay Lewis, 72, of Valley Point, WV, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016. The daughter of the late Harland Ward and Mabel Marie Reckart Strawser, she was born September 30, 1943, in a small "sawmill shanty" in McHenry, MD. Evelyn and her family moved to Mt. Dale, WV, when she was 6 years old. She attend Lynn Dale School for 7 years before going to Bruceton High School and graduating in 1961. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Valley Point. She is survived by a son and spouse, Tommy and Lisa Lewis, of Kingwood, WV; two daughters: Tammy Jo Hileman of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Tracy Bolinger and her husband, Darren, of Albright; five grandchildren: Tommy Ray Jr., Matthew, and Justin Lewis, Ashley Hileman and Casey Bolinger; a great grandchild, Thomas Ray Mason Lewis; and a very faithful companion, John Bolinger. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Ray (Junie) Lewis, Jr.; a brother, Eddie (Ed) Strawser; and a nephew, Harland Benjamin Strawser. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Monday, from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday August 16, 2016, from 11 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Harris and Rev.
