Esther Mae Swinehart, 75, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Charles and Martha Teets Sines, she was born July 9, 1946, in Oakland, MD. She was a loving and caring woman who always had a smile on her face. Esther enjoyed spending time talking with family and friends, reading, baking, playing cards, doing puzzles and playing games. Esther worked at Cleveland City Forge and Steel for many years and retired from the WV Division of Tourism. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle and her husband, Ben Ice, of Bruceton; a granddaughter, Brittney and her husband, Tim Scroggs, of Roanoke, VA; a sister, Rosalie Matthews of Adah, PA; and eleven nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Swinehart, two sisters: Mary Jane Sines, and Vergie Varner and her husband Troy; a brother, James Sines, and his wife Patsy; a brother-in-law, Donald Matthews; and four nephews and a niece. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to WV Caring Hospice, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Carl R.
