Donald Lee Upole, Sr.,
82, passed away surrounded by loved ones, on June 27, 2025, at his granddaughter's home in Oakland, MD.
Donald was proceeded in death by his father, Harvey Franklin Upole, and his mother, Josephine Idella Peck Upole.
Donald retired from Beitzel's Corporation and spent his leisure years sharing his knowledge and skills as an outdoorsman with as many people he could at his Hidden Hills Outfitter's in Malta, Ohio. He also spent countless hours on the water and bass fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; three children; Cindi Green (Phil), Donnie Upole (Lesa), and Robert Upole; stepdaughter, Kelly Slaubaugh; and a sister, Nancy Kitzmiller. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Traci Feist (Chris), Kristi Liverance (Henry), Michelle Garcia (Jessie), Tiffany Wiles (Johnny), BJ Upole (Heather), Barry Upole (Mariah), Joe Schmidt (Kate), and Lily Slaubaugh; and eighteen great grandchildren.
It was Donald's wish to be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held on July 20th, 2025, at the Lewis Pavilion at 3:00pm. All friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the Hospice of Garrett County. Condolences may be sent to the family at spearfuneralhome.net.
