Donald Jobe Smith,

78, of Bruceton Mills, (Pisgah community), WV, passed away Friday, August 23, 2018, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late Jobe and Ethel Marie Tinnell Smith, he was born February 21, 1940, in Fairmont, WV.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran and had been employed as a truck driver.  He was a graduate of Valley High School in Masontown, WV.
He survived by his wife of 17 years, Sherril Ruth Smith; two sons and their spouses, John David and Stephanie Smith of AK and Sean and Mandy Smith of Bruceton Mills; three step-sons: Richard Keith Harris of CO, Phillip Sidney Harris of LaVale, MD, and John Thomas Harris of Morgantown; a brother and his spouse, Richard and  Nada Smith, of Lewisburg, WV; two sisters and their spouses of Casper, WO, Pat and Woody Budig and Shirley and Ken Crowder; two grandchildren, Justin and Julia Smith; and six step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Julia Smith, in 1981.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service in the funeral home, with Vicki D. Sheppard officiating.  Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Harrisonburg, VA, on Wednesday, August, 29, 2018.
