Christy Dawn
Livengood
Jun 4, 1980 — Oct 20, 2026
BRUCETON MILLS
Christy Dawn Livengood, 46, of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026. She was born on June 4, 1980, in West Virginia, and was a lifelong resident of Bruceton Mills.
Christy was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and partner whose greatest joy in life was her family. She devoted herself to the people she loved and would do anything she could for her children and grandchildren. Their happiness always came first, and she loved her family with her whole heart.
Christy shared nine years with her beloved partner, Gregg Galloway, whom she loved very much. Together, they shared many years of life, laughter, and memories.
She is survived by her daughters, Mackenna Kindervater and Mya Frankhouser; her granddaughter, Wrenleigh Grace Kindervater, who lovingly chose to call her “Nana,” despite Christy wishing so badly to be called “GiGi.” Nana quickly became a name that held a very special place in Christy’s heart. She was also eagerly looking forward to welcoming her newest granddaughter, Raelynn Belle, who is expected in December. Christy was so excited to meet her and had already begun looking forward to the love and memories they would share.
Christy is also survived by her mother, Michela Grace Livengood; her brother, Douglas Keith Livengood, and his wife, Kristin Livengood, and their daughters Emma Livengood and Maelee Livengood; her sister, Amber LeAnn Dalton, and her husband, Jeremy Dalton, and their children Payton Dalton, Alana Dalton, Carli Dalton, and Jace Dalton; along with other family members and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Livengood; her beloved younger sister, Bailey Livengood, who passed away at just eight years old; her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Livengood; and her maternal grandparents, Helen and Kenneth Chidester.
Those who knew Christy will remember her for her loving and caring heart, her strength, her stubbornness, and most of all, her genuine and unapologetic way of being herself. She was witty, goofy, and had the craziest thoughts, and she never cared what anyone thought about her. She could make the people around her laugh simply by being herself.
Christy loved spending time with her family, shopping, listening to rock and roll music, and loving her two dogs, Luna and Nova. But above everything else, she loved being a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were what she was most proud of, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
Christy’s memory will live on through the people she loved and the many lives she touched. Her daughters will carry with them the love she gave them and the example she set for them, and they will make sure her grandchildren always know exactly who their Nana was and just how deeply she loved them.
Though she will not be here to meet Raelynn in December as she had so excitedly hoped, the love Christy had for her newest granddaughter will always be part of her story. Her family will carry that love forward and make sure Raelynn grows up knowing the grandmother who was so excited to meet her.
Christy will be deeply missed and forever loved.
