Obituary

Bonnie Mae Livengood, 80, of Hazelton, passed away on January 6, 2024, at home surrounded by family members. She was born on August 16, 1943, to Glenn and Bertha Morrison Maust in Brandonville. As a stay-at-home mother, she spent her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and animals. Bonnie loved crafting, cooking, and spoiling her dogs. To know Bonnie was to know a beloved grandmother, a caring friend, and a great listener. Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Barbara Glover and her husband, Richard, and Brenda Crane and her husband, Jim, all of Hazelton. Six grandchildren, Christy Livengood and Greg Galloway, Amber Dalton and Jeremy, Doug Livengood and Kristin, Austin Crane and Sabrina Cartwright, Madison Crane, and Mara Glover, as well as seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert Livengood; her son, Doug Livengood; granddaughter, Bailey Jo Livengood; and three brothers, Donald Maust, Robert Maust, and Ralph (Bill) Maust; and her beloved dog, Kiki. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service with Pastor Tim Wotring officiating. Burial will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mill, WV. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice nurses and staff that helped care for Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Preston Country Animal Shelter.
