Betty L Reckart,

83, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, with her daughter Carmen and granddaughter Shelby by her side.

Betty was the daughter of the late Anna Hayes and Vincent Gordon. She was born February 18,1943 in Albright, WV.

Betty enjoyed living at the cabin on Muddy Creek enjoying the nature and wildlife that was surrounded by her.

In July 2021, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert C Reckart.

Surviving are two daughters: Carmen Reckart of Bruceton Mills, WV; Stephanie Rosenberger of Millen, GA; a son-in-law Phil Rosenberger of Bruceton Mills, WV; Sister Patty Thompson of Kingwood, WV; and Brother Greg Gordon of Kingwood, WV.

She was a Neenee to Nathan (Julie) Cupp, Shelby (Evangeline) Cupp, Felicia Reckart, Jeremiah Adams and Charly Rosenberger; 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Brooks R Reckart, sister Mary Collins and brother Jim Gordon.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their services and a special thank you to Evangeline Cupp.

As per Betty’s wishes, there will be a private visitation for immediate family only. Carl R Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills is assisting the family with funeral arrangements and providing burial services at Parnell Cemetery in Cuzzart, WV.
