Beatrice Marie Howdershelt, 86, of Bruceton Mills and Rowlesburg, WV, passed away November 8, 2024, at Preston Health Care Home in Kingwood, WV. The daughter of the late Van S. and Ada C. Funk Howdershelt, she was born in Rowlesburg (Red Rock Community), October 9, 1938. Bea lived many years with her sister, Merril Nestor and later with Jim and Peggy Nestor who provided for her care. She is survived by a sister, Mildred J. Myers, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Elizabeth Howdershelt, Alice Zirkle, Flora May Cox, Merril Nestor and six brothers: Franklin, Ernest, Charles, Evert, Howard, and Ralph Howdershelt. The family would like to extend a special appreciation to the staff of Preston Health Care. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service with Pastor Steve Wotring officiating.
