Avonelle E. Shook, 85, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at her home. The daughter of the late James and Virginia Shaffer Stiles, she was born May 15, 1931, in Morgantown, WV. Avonelle was retired from Davis-Lynch Glass Co. She is survived by two daughters, Susie Goodin of Morgantown and Crystal Kononow and her husband, Mike, of Cleveland, OH; a son, James Victor Goodin, of Bruceton Mills; a granddaughter, Sheila Santiago, of OH; and three sisters: Kay Helmich of Fairmont, WV, Joetta Moore of California, and Judy Fumich of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harlan V. Goodin; her second husband, Ned Shook; and a sister, Jane Ray. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Friday, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, December 10, 2016, from 10 until the 11 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Rev. David Goodin officiating.
