Obituary:	JOHN EVERETT TITCHNELL, SR., 74, of Bruceton Mills (Valley Point Community), WV, died Saturday, October 11, 2008, in his home. Hospice Care Corp. had been assisting the family with his care. The son of the late John W. and Elizabeth Liston Titchnell, he was born October 22, 1933, in Beech Run, WV. He was a heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Everett is survived by his wife, Betty Martin Titchnell; a daughter and her spouse, Valerie and William Beeghly, of Bruceton Mills; a son and his spouse, John E. Titchnell, Jr., and Sheila, of Valley Point; two sisters: Glenna Blake and her spouse, Glen, of Franklin, OH, and Janet Miller of Albright; three brothers: Darrell Titchnell of Grafton, WV, Darwin Titchnell and his spouse, Linda, of Albright, and Richard Titchnell and his spouse, Linda, of Albright; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Monday, October 13, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Moriah United Methodist Church, Valley Point. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Gary Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Valley Point, with military graveside services provided by the WV Honor Guard and the Preston County VFW.
