99, of Bruceton Mills (Clifton Mills Community), WV, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at her home.
The daughter of the late Jefferson Jackson and Mary Ellen Smith Kelley, she was born July 12, 1909, in Locust Grove, WV.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Clifton Mills Union Church, Helping Hands Sunday School Class, and North Preston Farmers Club, and she was the last surviving member of her family.
Lucie is survived by a daughter and her spouse, Pat and Carl Forman; four grandchildren: Mark Forman and spouse, Catherine, Scott Forman, Ruth Thomas, and Jane Whetsell and spouse, Randy; eight great grandchildren: Jeffery, Daniel, and Brandon Forman, Jason Thomas, Hillary Adams and spouse, Scott, Jennifer Martin and spouse, Erik, Melissa Whetsell, and John Lewis; two great great grandchildren, Chloe Adams and Zackary Martin; two step great great grandchildren, Randy and Hunter Martin; six nieces; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott S. Prinkey, November 20, 2005; a grandson, Ronald Forman; three sisters: Mae Collins, Hazel Cubbon, and Ivie Ringer; and two brothers, Walter and Zar W. Kelley.
Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Bruceton-Brandonville, WV, Sunday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., and Monday, September 22, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard and Pastor Barry M. Adkins officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
