Obituary:	WILLIAM L. (BILL) RICHARDS, SR., 70, of Albright (Valley Point), WV, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home. The son of the late Russell and Margaret Pounds Richards, he was born March 5, 1938, in Carmichaels, PA. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Kingwood Mining Co. as a drill operator. He is survived by his wife, Barbara DeVall Richards; six children and their spouses: William, Jr., and Sue Richards of Bruceton Mills, Cindy and Gary Conner and Bryan and Kathy Richards of Valley Point, Mary and Danny Riggleman of Arthurdale, WV, Greg and Virginia Richards of Elizabeth, PA, and Tim and Bertha Richards of Albright; one sister and five brothers and their spouses: Jo and Homer Adams, Frank Richards, Buck and Janet Richards, and Lee and Candy Richards of Valley Point, Jack and Jacquelene Richards and Paul and Loretta Richards of Morgantown; a sister-in-law, Pam Richards, of Bellville, MI; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Richards, and a sister-in-law, Patty Richards. Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Mount Moriah United Methodist Church, Valley Point, from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be in the church at 1:00 p.m., with the Revs. Gary Reed and Vicki D. Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Valley Point. Personal condolences may be sent on line to the family at www.spearfuneralhome.net.
