Obituary:	BERTHA E. COLLINS, 94, of Bruceton Mills (Hopewell Community), WV, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood, WV. The daughter of the late Elmer Allen and Mary Susanne Sliger Cuppett, she was born January 28, 1914, at McClellandtown, PA. She was a member of the Hopewell Union (Baptist) Church. Bertha is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Moore and her husband, John, of Augusta, GA; two sons: Carl R. Collins and his wife, Wilma, of Bruceton Mills, and William L. Collins and his wife, Sandy, of Bruceton Mills; eight grandchildren: Johnny Moore Jr., Ronnie Collins, Tammy Lewis, Michael Collins, Kenneth Collins, Emily Collins, Heather Raines, and Amber Phillips; eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl (Buss) Collins; a son, Raymond (Buster) Collins; two brothers, and two sisters. Fiends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, from 4-9 p.m. Monday, and from 10 until 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard and Rev. Joe Lamm officiating. Burial will be in the Bruceton Cemetery, Bruceton Mills. Personal condolences may be sent to the family online at: www.spearfuneralhome.net.
