Obituary:	ALICE RUTH FALKENSTINE, 97, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at Preston Memorial Hospital, Kingwood, WV. The daughter of the late James Spencer and Mary Ann McNair Everly, she was born June 16, 1910, in Bruceton Mills. She was an active member, for more than eighty years, of the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and was excellent at quilting and crocheting. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Freda June Bennett, of Bruceton Mills; a grandson, Dr. Mark R. Bennett, of Bruceton Mills; a granddaughter and her husband, Cheneda Kay and Fred H. (Jerry) Stout Jr., of Bruceton Mills; five great-grandchildren: Shelley Maulis, Benjamin Stout, Sherry and Jerome Carter, Andrew and Deena Stout, and Alexandra Bennett; and two great-great-grandsons, Shawn Maulis and Cash Stout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Ray Falkenstine, November 18, 1988; two brothers, Gilbert and Thurman Everly; five sisters: Effie Ryan, Ruby Goodwin, Erma Fay Falkenstine, Eva Mae Johns and infant, Mary Jane Everly; and a son-in-law, B. F. (Butch) Bennett, Jr. Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills Friday, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, Bruceton Mills, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., the time of services, with Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard and Rev. Craig Falkenstine officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Albright, WV. Personal condolences to the family may be sent on line to www.spearfuneralhome.net.
