Obituary:	HERMAN DURR, 81, of Albright (Valley Point Community), WV, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at his home. The son of the late Cecil and Elsie Messenger Durr, he was born January 27, 1926, in Kingwood, WV. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a construction worker for many years, and he attended the Woolen Mills Wesleyan Methodist Church. Herman is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Paula Martin Durr; a son, Kevin Durr, of Albright; a daughter and her spouse, Karen and Edward Schnopp, of Hazelton, WV; four brothers and their spouses: Lawrence (Boots) and Betty Durr, James and Sharon Durr, John and Gerry Durr, and Roy (Jake) Durr and his companion, Helen Miller; four sisters: Willard McNear, Ethel Hileman, Mary and spouse, Vernon Pratt, and Betty and spouse, Hershel Lovely; a grandson, Justin Durr; a step-grandson and his companion, Franklin Schnopp and Kristina Shannon; five granddaughters: Cassandra Wilson and spouse, Andrew, Jodi Shaffer and spouse, Anthony, Tiffany Kelly and spouse, T.J., and Felecia and Gabrielle Conner; three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Levi, and Jordynn; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Mark and Debbie Conner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant siblings, three brothers-in-law, and a nephew. Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Tuesday, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, November 21, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral chapel, with Revs. Winfield Mayle and Ed Salsgiver officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Valley Point. Personal condolences may be sent on line to the family at www.spearfuneralhome.net.

Sorry for your loss. Herman was such a nice man. I loved to hear him talk and tell stories at church. He will be missed.
