Obituary:	JOANNE BENSON, 76, of Cheat Neck, Morgantown, WV, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown. The daughter of the late Hobert M. and F. Irene (Sudie) Titchenell Benson, she was born November 28, 1930, in Bruceton Mills, WV. Joanne was a 1950 graduate of Bruceton High School and a member of the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women\'s Association. After 20 years of service, she retired as a cook/baker for the Kennedy Center Federal Correction Institute in Morgantown. She enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, quilting, and baking. Joanne is survived by her husband, A. Glenn Benson; a son and his wife, James and Janice Benson, of Cheat Neck; a brother and his wife, Hobert K. and Barbara Benson, of Cheat Neck; two sisters, Violet Jane Groves and her husband, Donald, of Lenox, and Kay Furman and her husband, Guy, of Cheat Neck; four grandchildren: Toby Benson Smith of Reedsville, Jamie Snider and her husband, Chad, of Pisgah, Andrew Benson of Cheat Neck, and Makara Benson of Cheat Neck; and two great-granddaughters, Jenna Smith of Reedsville and Hadyn Snider of Pisgah. Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Julia Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Bruceton Mills (Pisgah). Condolences may be sent on-line to the family at www.spearfuneralhome.net.
